Mogilev Mail Order Brides
Mahilyow, also Mogilev or Mahileu, city in eastern Belarus, capital of Mahilyow Oblast.
The city is an industrial and rail center and a port on the Dnieper River. Manufactures
include machinery, textiles, and leather goods. Founded as a fortress in the 13th century,
Mahilyow was held by Lithuania, Poland, and Sweden before passing to Russia in 1772.
From 1941 to 1944, during World War II, it was occupied by Germany. Population (1996 estimate) 366,705.
